Paintings

The female nude is the longest-running subject in known art history so much of which has been produced through the male gaze, which is part of why it’s very important to me that the female nudes I paint and draw embody qualities so often thought of as being mutually exclusive particularly as they relate to women. My paintings reflect the balancing of some of these dualities like strength and softness, nudity and privacy, safety and boldness. Because of this, much of my figurative work depicts the female form in interstitial spaces, suspended in dreamlike atmospheres somewhere between flight and rest.

The following paintings were done in collaboration with Katie Southeowrth while I was working out of SOWA Boston. Our styles and love for art merged seamlessly to create this body of work.

Though my paintings primarily consists of figures, there still is the occasional still life or POV skydiving painting.
